Dumbbell pyramid workout

For this workout you need a set of dumbbells (or multiple sets if you prefer). There are 7 exercises in this workout:

  1. Squats

  2. Squat press

  3. Ski swings

  4. Rotational swings

  5. Alternating reverse lunges

  6. Alternating curtsy lunges

  7. Bent over row to bicep curls

Each exercise duration is 30 seconds, and we add on an exercise each round. So:

Round 1: Exercise 1 + 30s rest

Round 2: Exercise 1 + 2 + 30s rest

Round 3: Exercise 1 + 2 + 3 + 30s rest

and so on until we hit round 8 and then we drop off exercise 1:

Round 8: Exercise 2 + 3 + 4 + 5 + 6 + 7 + 30s rest

Round 9: Exercise 3 + 4 + 5 + 6 + 7 + 30s rest

and so on until we end up with just exercise 7 on the last round!


So in theory, it gets harder with longer 'work' periods until you reach the peak, and then easier back down the other side!
