Pregnancy and lots of sitting with desk based jobs all contribute to tight hip flexors. There are loads of stretches you can do to help open up the hips and stretch the hip flexors - but here are some of my favourites that I do. We don't really want tight hip flexors as they can hold your pelvis in an anterior tilt (forward), influencing your postural alignment and core function, and can cause lower back pain - both through the tilt of the pelvis and also hip flexors originate in your lower back (they're attached to lumbar vertebrae).
