Nakd bar equivalent!

It’s no secret that I’m a fan of Nakd bars so here is a recipe to make something similar yourself! Also a big hit with my eldest son so doubles up as a snack for him too.

These are great pre or post workout as full of protein, essential fats, vitamins, minerals and fibre.

Ingredients (makes 16 so I would halve if it is just you eating these!):

  • 250g soft ready to eat dates or medjool

  • 300g cashew or any nut really!

  • 100g ground almonds

  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder

  • 2-3 tbsp water


Method:

  • Put the dates, nuts and cocoa powder in food processor and blitz until crumbly and combined

  • Add water 1 tbsp at a time until it starts to stick together and you could roll it in to a ball

  • Take it out the mixture and put on a sheet on baking paper. But another piece over the top and roll out until it’s about 1cm thick.

  • Cut in to bars (16 or 8 if halved)

  • Store in fridge for up to a week
