Protein chocolate chip cookies

I thought I would give a go a making a homemade version of some of the protein cookies you can buy in the shops, but for a fraction of the cost and less artificial tasting. They're soft cookies but this is a similar texture and density to shop bought protein cookie versions.

Ingredients (makes 6 large cookies, 12 small):

  • 2 ripe bananas

  • 2 scoops of protein powder which is about 60g (I used chocolate whey)

  • 85 g oats

  • 2 tbsp peanut butter (no added sugar or salt)

  • 2 tbsp chocolate chips

Method:

  • Preheat over to 180 degrees

  • Mash the bananas in a bowl until smooth

  • Add the protein powder, oats, peanut butter and mix well

  • Add in the chocolate chips and stir

  • Line a baking sheet with baking paper

  • Making your cookies, they don't really spread like normal cookies would so make sure they're rouhgly the shape you want

  • Bake for 12-18 mins dependent on thickness and size

  • Allow to cool before removing from the tray and eating!
